Trusted Housesitters give you the opportunity to house sit other peoples treasured pets all over the world, whilst paying little or nothing to stay in their house. You cover the costs of your flights and your food and spending, whilst saving on having no accomodation layout.

It can provide an economic way of travelling, although the more flexible you can be around locations and times you are available to travel, this is likely to be a more favourable option.

    Bush Get-Away in Botswana

    Janine and Guts are a pair of wildlife photographers based in the far north of Botswana, right beside Chobe National Park.

    Although work often takes them across the globe for photography workshops, they can’t imagine life without my three dogs and two cats. They are what truly make the house feel like home and help them stay grounded amidst our busy lives.

    They live in a stylish, modern container home located next to their own hotel, just a short two-minute drive from the airport and under five minutes from the main park entrance.

    Their small garden gives the dogs space to roam freely, and they make sure to take them for longer walks on a nearby farm at least once a day. When Ithey are not away on photographic assignments, they enjoy practising yoga, cooking, baking, or simply relaxing on the couch with my cats.

    On the Beach Rabat, Morocco

    They live directly on the beach, which is rocky, but they can walk down to the swimmable area in 5-10 minutes. They have a quiet, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home with an enormous terrace overlooking the ocean. Rabat/Temara is a clean city for Morocco.

    There are fun markets, good restaurants, and lots of green areas. They can manage without a car, but it’s best to have one

    Their cats need to be fed at least twice a day, and they have a small garden at the front that requires generous watering three times a week, especially under the Moroccan sun.

    Odin, their friendliest cat, has a deformed eye due to a missing eyelid. His face needs to be cleaned with a cotton ball and distilled water, followed by a saline solution to keep the area hydrated. This is typically done several times a week, and he tolerates it well.

    Their home overlooks Nathon Harbour, with its many ferries during the day and fishing boats at night. It is located on a serene hillside, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, surrounded by lush green vegetation and majestic mountain hills. The setting is peaceful and naturally beautiful, with friendly neighbours who add to the quality of living in the area.

    This is a spacious, beautifully decorated villa, filled with tasteful and unique objects that reflect their love for art and comfort. The layout is open and airy, creating an exotic yet cosy atmosphere perfect for relaxation.

    5 acre home close to Santa Cruz, California

    They just moved to this 5-acre property in February 2025. They live in the main house (1,000 SF) and have their office and home gym (weight bench and weights, Peloton bike, large mat area for yoga/stretching) in the adjacent ADU.

    There is also a large 2600 SF barn next to the house, which is a really cool space with 4 horse stalls and 2 tack rooms, though no horses. The property is in the middle of horse country, with rolling hills, oak trees, and redwoods.

    There is a small, unheated pool surrounded by a deck that sits right next to an oak-covered hillside, and a large outdoor wood-burning fire pit. You will hear loads of birdsong, possibly frogsong, and likely see their local herd of 4-5 deer, who usually come through the property to graze every day or two. They also get turkeys on the property about once a week.

    The main bedroom has a wonderful, brand new California King bed, heaped with covers and so comfy! T
